The Harvest

Stories families tell about their missionaries

The moment that changed them. The person they will never forget. Told by the people who were waiting at home.

Every story here was written by a family who wanted to share it. Nothing on this page comes from anyone’s archive — we never publish those. We show a first name and a last initial, and the mission only when the family chose to name it.

The first story could be yours.

Every missionary comes home with one their family retells for thirty years. Tell us that one.

Tell one

No account, nothing to buy. A few minutes, and a story that would otherwise only ever be told at your own kitchen table.

We show a first name and last initial — never a full name.

They are

Leave it out if you would rather not say where.

Please leave out the full names of people they taught. Their story is theirs to tell.

Never shown. Only so we can reach you about your own story.

A person reads every story before it appears.

Are you the missionary in one of these stories?

If you would rather it were not here, write to support@missionarylegacy.com and we will take it down. You do not need an account, and you do not need to give a reason. The family who submitted it told us it was theirs to tell, and if you disagree, you win.

Notes from the Field has the practical help — packing, packages, and keeping what they send home.
